CHARITY WALK FOR ANTHONY NOLAN TRUST – in support of Adam Lacy, aged 16, from Birkenhead.
Sixteen-year-old, Adam Lacy from Birkenhead, has been diagnosed with Leukaemia for the third time in his short life just before Christmas.
With the family’s blessing, I am organising a charity walk for their nominated charity, The Anthony Nolan Trust, as they support Adam constantly. This will take place on Sunday 8th March. We shall be walking the eight miles from Morrisons in New Brighton to Morrisons in West Kirby along the North Wirral Coastal Park promenade, starting at 10.15am that day. Everyone is welcome to join us to help raise funds for this very worthwhile cause.
Anyone may join this walk or just do a part of it. Entrance is just £5 and all monies raised will go directly to the nominated charity.
I have already started raising funds via Vauxhall Motors FC, as Adam’s father Paul was a former championship winning defender with the club twenty years ago, and I was blown away by the generosity of the spectators at a recent match which raised over £200! Since then, that has risen to over £850. My target is to raise at least £1500 this year, having done almost as well over the last two years for Cancer Research UK and Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.
I want a superb turn out on the day! Please give generously.
Many thanks, Alan Bartlam
